Autore della sorprendente scoperta è Stefano Mari, un giovane studente sulmonese della Facoltà di Beni culturali dell'Università di Chieti.
Lo stemma araldico dei Tabassi , impresso sull'elmo, è stata la traccia attraverso la quale è stato possibile riconoscere quest'elmo che è stato indossato da Scipione Tabassi , ultimo vincitore della Giostra Cavalleresca di Sulmona nel 1643.
«Ho vissuto un'emozione unica - ha detto Stefano Mari - quando mi sono reso conto di aver trovato un così prezioso reperto». Sull'elmo è impressa la sigla degli armaioli bresciani, mentre la baviera reca i punzoni dei Missaglia , famosa casata milanese e risalirebbe al 1460. Il pregiato elemento del corredo dei cavalieri sarebbe arrivato nel Metropolitan Museum di New York nel 1920, dalla preziosa collezione palermitana dei Salvo di Ferrara. G.F

Aiutandovi con un cucchiaio da cocktail lungo, sciogliete bene lo zucchero e nello stesso tempo schiacciate le foglie di menta in modo che possano rilasciare tutto il loro aroma. Versate il succo di lime poi il rhum e mescolate bene. Per finire riempite il bicchiere con la soda e guarnite con un rametto di menta.
